I'm pretty much a self-taught artist who simply enjoys mixing and applying a bit of paint in his spare time. Landscapes dominate my output mostly because of ease of access to source material but I'll have a go at anything that appeals to me. I generally try to capture a sense of the moment in terms of location, weather conditions and the effect of light and the subject matter is normally just something to pin those elements on to. I will always be fascinated by the emotional response we often have to something that is basically just colour and shape.
