FAQs
1) Who can participate?
Anybody, as long as you are exhibiting in the area of our map, namely Clifton Village, Cliftonwood and Hotwells. The committee does not select artists nor is there any entrance requirement beyond registering and paying the subscription. Artists are free to join or not in any particular year.
2) What is the registration fee? What does it cover?
£60 for each individual artist whether they are exhibiting alone or with others.
The fee covers: advertising, website, social media and entry into the trail map.
Artists will have their individual profile on our website including photos and bio.
3) How do I apply?
Click the register tab above and follow the instructions. Please note that applications are accepted on a first come first served basis . We have a cut-off number of about 130 artists spread over multiple venues.
4) How do I pay?
After the registration form has been completed there will be a check out procedure. We take many major credit cards.
5) Will all my contact details be published?
No. We are open to sharing only the contact details the artists wish to provide. This has to include the exhibiting address, and usually an email address and website if any. We do not publish telephone numbers and will not publish email addresses if requested.
However, the committee do need your telephone number in case we need to contact you urgently.
6) Where can I exhibit?
If you are on the BS8 area you will be able to exhibit from your home or studio or in a prearranged group. We also provide communal venues.
7) Can the committee help with finding a venue?
If you are not exhibiting in a home / studio or a prearranged venue, on registration & payment the committee will allocate a venue for you.
8) If I participate in the Arts Trail, am I required to help to organise it?
No. But we do ask for help with distribution of the trail maps. We encourage artists to publicise the trail on their Social Media channels.
