I have been a member of Clifton Arts for many years now and have exhibited a number of times. Earlier this year I had an exhibition at Studio 3 in Clevedon.

The urge to paint and draw has always been with me. I am particularly interested in trees, landscapes and birds, although cityscapes can be an inspiration too. I love being outside and experiencing the changing seasons and light. I want to convey how this makes me feel.

Although I paint mainly in acrylics I love experimenting with mixed media and have particularly enjoyed working with pastels and inks recently, and using textured surfaces.

I am fortunate enough to have a small studio and enjoy spending time there. There are, of course, the many frustrations and failures, but I think that art makes me really look at and appreciate the world around me. Being completely absorbed in something is a feeling I treasure.
