My current studio paintings draw on my thoughts and reading around the idea of processes. The processes that govern how a tree grows to those that hold atoms together are a continuum of cause and effect that ultimately explains everything. My paintings reflect the layers of processes that build the natural world by beginning with an invented 'Law of Nature', a rule that governs the progress of the work. With no pre-determined end result in mind, I continue the process of following the rule until its not physically practical to do more. These paintings take many months to produce and achieve many of the objectives I've aimed for in my art though nothings ever finished.
