Katie’s most recent work is a range of bird plaques, bird ornaments, patterned plates & pin dishes; Lucienne Day, Hornsea, Bitossi, Portmerion and Midwinter are among the many mid-century designs and patterns that inspire her. Katie grew up surrounded by DIY projects and handmade crafts. Family motor-caravanning holidays in Europe, admiring cathedrals and chateaux, inspired her love of architectural ornament. After an Art Foundation course at Kingston Poly, Katie graduated from Bristol Poly with a ceramics degree in the 90’s. Katie has been making in clay ever since.
