I started painting and exhibiting about 40 years ago after losing most of my hearing but becoming more visually aware, began to enjoy painting and exhibiting work in local and national exhibitions including the RWA The RA Summer Exhibition. I work intuitively in all media including printmaking, in varied subject matter in response to whatever moves me emotionally.  A quiet still life or of people and places, sea and skies. I enjoy capturing impressions of people in quick unplanned sketches usually on the back of an envelope in a café or on a bus or train; Or the character of common birds like pigeons, seagulls or crows with attitude. And figures and faces that appear randomly  in watercolour doodlings.
