Jane’s wide range of enamelled work has evolved over the last 15 years. She is constantly trying different techniques and designs within her jewellery range, different shaped bowls and dishes. Many visitors enjoy returning to look at what’s ‘new’ each year. Many people love the range of colours that enamel offers, either for the home, gifts or to wear .
Enamels, reflect light and the underlying metal, usually copper, sometimes silver. Most pieces have many layers of enamel which are built up over perhaps several hours, in a kiln at a temperature of 800-900c. This creates great depth of colour and opportunity to experiment to make unique pieces.
