ArtFromLeftOvers reflects my passion for creating handmade pieces designed to last, while reducing fabric waste whenever possible. Working mainly with reclaimed textiles, I transform small remnants into unique jewellery and textile artworks that celebrate colour, texture and craftsmanship.
The project began after I realised how many beautiful fragments of fabric were left behind after completing sewing projects. As someone who loves textiles, it felt wrong to see these small pieces – often too precious to discard – ending up as waste. This moment became the turning point that inspired my work.
Instead of throwing these remnants away, I began re-imagining them as new creations, giving them a second life as wearable art and decorative pieces. Each work is therefore not only handmade but also shaped by the idea of mindful making and creative reuse.
Over the past year I have expanded my practice to include embroidery on watercolour paintings, bringing together textile techniques and painting. These mixed-media pieces combine delicate stitching with colour and illustration, adding a new dimension to my textile collection.
Through ArtFromLeftOvers, I aim to show how materials that might otherwise be discarded can be transformed into something meaningful, beautiful and lasting.
