She has dedicated her lifetime to her interest in graphic designs, illustrations, drawings, and paintings. She was inspired by her creative upbringing with architect and graphic print designer parents, who instilled in her a passion for daily drawing,
In 1984, she achieved a degree in Art & Design, which provided a solid foundation for her artistic pursuits. As a young adult, her interest took her around the globe, including a memorable year spent in Hong Kong, where she had the privilege of working alongside the esteemed Henry Steiner, as a graphic designer.
She has exhibited in various small galleries around the UK and the for the ROI at the Mall Galleries, London, Patchings Art Fest 2025
More recently, she has perfected her love of still life. She aims to capture that first moment that attracted her to the subject whether that be the light, the vibrancy of colour or the abstract shapes and movement. She lets herself go and uses more movement in her strokes and also brings in graphic symbols to enhance the composition.
En-plein-air, she enjoys working with the changing light of the outdoors as she loves the beauty of the natural world. Working quickly is necessary to capture the magical moments of the changing landscape, the light, the shadows. She strives to find beauty in the ordinary, appreciating the little details that often go unnoticed.
She gets a thrill from painting portraits, reacting to the person in front of her. This is normally quick to start with because she believes you can get a good grasp of someone within the first few minutes of meeting them. She finds it fascinating portraying this feeling. Because this is such an immediate reaction she likes to work quickly to start with and as the painting progresses she carefully follows the contours, the changing tones and uses colours to create, light and volume.
