Doodles and letters became illustrations and words about 15 years ago.  My inspiration originates from my upbringing in a house alongside a river in Devon.  We had a big garden and if i wasn't hiding in the garden i was lifting stones looking for crabs.  I love the tides and the weather, the sea and the coast line.  I live in Bristol now, still connected to the sea but whenever the opportunity arises i will take a trip homewards.  My mother was a draughtswoman, when i was little i used to use her old pens to doodle and trace animals from encyclopedias. I like to see the detail of things, i like to watch, and absorb my surroundings.  I have always loved having a pen in my hand or making something be it arranging some shells in the sand or crocheting.  More recently i have been making pictures from collage and mixed media.  I hope you enjoy looking at my work.
